Welcome Aboard to Top Hatters Squadron, U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps. Winners
of the JOHN J. BERGEN TROPHY, Awarded to the most outstanding NSCC Unit in the Nation!! Top Hatters Squadron
is located onboard Naval Station Norfolk, in Building B-30, Third Deck, located at the corner of Maryland and Gilbert Streets, by
the Base Chapel, just inside Gate 2. We invite you and your parents to our next Indoctrination, which will be held on March
31st and April 1st, 2012. We will begin at 0800, and ask that all Parents come on Saturday morning until about 0930, during
this time we have a Parents Brief about the Program and the Unit, discuss the Application Forms, and have a short video for
you to watch, and the Staff is available to answer any questions you may have. We finish at 1600 (4:00 PM) on Saturday. The
times for Sunday are 0800 to 1600, and Parents are not required to stay on Sunday. There is no charge for attending the Indoctrination
except for the cost of Lunch for the Cadets on Saturday and Sunday. The purpose of the Indoctrination is for you to decide
if the Sea Cadets is the program for you.
The cost for joining the Sea Cadets is as follows;
the initial enrollment cost is $100.00, after that there is a $60.00 yearly membership dues for Navy League Cadets (10-13
year olds), and $60.00 yearly membership dues for Naval Sea Cadets (13-17 year olds). Our Drill Weekend fee is $20.00,
which includes all meals and activities.
